Ettelewen's Drive The Cold Winter Away Cloak ~$299.99 ~  The latest addition to our Ladies Cloak Line is fashioned in the Allie's Style,  with black lined hood and hemline.  We've added the double upper lining for complete protection from the cold winter weather. The romantically generous hood is lined with black, pelted mink faux fur, to add to the luxurious warmth of this winter cloak.   Velvet trimmed armholes, a vintage style button, and fringe around the upper hemline make this cloak truly unique.  It is fastened at the neckline with a prominent, solid pewter clasp. 

 

 

 

 

 

Ladies Rivendale Fellowship Cloak

Ladies Wool Rivendale Fellowship  Cloak ~ $219.99 ~ This is the original Fellowship Cloak, worn by Merry and Pippin in the Lord of the Rings, designed by Stephen Spielberg, and signed by JR Tolkien himself. (Just kidding).  It is my interpretation of that cloak, and as close to the original as I could make it.

 This is a half-circle, seamless woolen cloak, that drapes beautifully and is a dream to wear.  It has an angled, open front, and can be worn tossed over the shoulders.  The generous hood is fully lined and deeply pointed.  The cloak is fastened by a hidden hook and eye, so that you can wear your choice of brooch.  It comes in Heathered  Grey.

        

The Chatelaine's Cloak   ( Lady of the Castle )

The Chatelaine's Cloak ~ $259.99 ~  The fabric on this lightweight moleskin cloak has to be experienced to be truly appreciated.  Extremely soft, smooth, and flowing, it has the added benefit of being waterproof!  The grey-green color is very elegant, and will blend perfectly with any outfit.  The front edge is trimmed with a double line of black velvet and black and gold pattern trim.

The fully lined hood is edged with black chiffon, with a burnout velvet rose pattern.  This is truly beautiful, the picture doesn't capture it.  Cloth covered hooks and eyes are used for closures, so that you can wear it with or without your favorite brooch or penannular.

A Hooded Cloak meets the requirements for the perfect outer garment:  it provides insulation, repels moisture, is a fashion statement, and in days past was a symbol of status or wealth.  It is perfect for shopping on rainy days;  your purse and packages are kept dry,  even your infant and little children can shelter under the voluminous folds, and the hood takes the place of an umbrella.

Our fleece cloaks are made from 100% polyester.  The threads are first spun into yarn, which gives the fleece it's weight. Then it is brushed, to compact the fabric and build air pockets for insulation.    Fleece offers more wind resistance per weight than just about any other fabric. 

 The fleece we use is called anti-pill, which means it will not ball up, and it will retain it's quality appearance for a long time to come.  Our fabric washes up beautifully in the washing machine and dryer, actually coming out softer and fluffier in the process.
